There’s the question of how much of us is rehearsed.
Want, desire is not useful unless we talk about the unexplored areas
of character which have to do not with a simple notion of fear, but
the fear of us growing which we all experience. For we all choose ways
for ourselves that inhibit growth: an organic process that occurs by
which we constantly displace threat and acquire power. That’s what we
do all the time. That’s how we are wired.
